JAVOedge iPad mini Folio Case – Gear Review
By Aubrey | padgadget.com
Its been one year this week since Apple introduced us to the iPad mini, and in that year, hundreds – maybe even thousands – of cases, keyboards, and other accessories have hit the market touting their features and all trying to lure you in for the buy. In that year, I’ve had the privilege to try many of them out, always looking for the next great one. One case that really stands out as being both feminine and durable is the Folio Case series for iPad mini by JAVOedge.
This folio style case is covered in a blend of lightly padded patent [faux]leather and waterproof fabric on the outside, and a shimmery [faux]leather on the inside. Seemingly durable, the edges are all finished quite nicely which suggests that this case will hold up to a good amount of regular wear and tear. The case is held closed on the side by a magnetic flap, and holds onto your mini with four elastic bands – one in each corner.
Inside the front cover are 2 grooves which are designed to prop up your mini and allow you some flexibility at the angle at which it will stand. While this is a great feature, we did notice that the fabric on the back of the case tended to bunch up. While this doesn’t harm your iPad or the case, it just doesn’t look as sleek.
This series comes in a range of fabric colors and prints, great if you’re shopping around for others, or yourself. Each case also comes with a wristlet strap with a metal clasp as a option for toting your device around.
