For our Thursday gear review, we’re introducing a new iPad mini case from The Snugg – makers of great cases and accessories for all of your devices. The Snugg iPad mini Case and Flip Stand is a folio style case made of faux-leather and made to look very professionally sleek. Cleverly designed, this case packs a lot of great features and on sale now at $24.99 is a great buy!

Out of the box, our first impression is that this looks like a top quality, well-made case. We tested the black model, and with white stitching around the edges, think the detailing is very striking. Even though it is faux-leather, it has a great texture and is crafted superbly. The inside is lined with a suede-like nubuck material and will protect your mini’s screen from scratches.

The sleeve has grooves to support multiple standing positions – viewing and typing. Inside the sleeve, there is a clever nubuck covered elastic hand strap, to make holding it up easier on you. There is also a stylus loop at the top so that it’s always right where you need it. And yet another feather is the magnetic close at both the top and bottom to keep the sleeve held down when not in use.

What I liked: This cover is really sleek and well designed. The materials look and feel of quality, and we love all of the features.

What I didn’t like: With all of the perks of this case, its hard to find a flaw. My only gripe would be that your mini is held in place by faux-leather which wraps over the edges. The corners are left exposed, and if dropped, your iPad isn’t as protected on these corners.

To buy or not to buy: At $24.99 this is a very nice cover, and if you’re looking for something sleek and professional, it comes highly recommended.
